What will you learn?
KEY CONCEPTS
THE DIRECTION OF COACHING
The difference between beginning coaches and experienced coaches lies in the direction of coaching. You will learn how to evoke shifts in your client that will transform their mindset, thinking, behaviours and habits
MASTERING LISTENING
Learn to distinguish stories and the essence. The stories and their narrative is only the client’s interpretation of the event. Mastering the skill of bottom-lining will surface the heart of the matter.
REFLECTION & FEEDBACK
Coach mentoring is an integral part of mastery. You will receive 10 hours of mentoring in your development from experienced ICF coaches of PCC/ MCC level.
AGREEMENT MASTERY
Masterful coaches excel in this competency. They help their client find purpose, meaning and clarity of their goals by exploring the client’s goal ecology. The outcome of the session for the client is normally only a remedy of their problem.
EVOKING AWARENESS
Questions are not the only way to evoke awareness. Beginning coaches predominantly rely on asking questions towards this end. Masterful coaches use other methods to complement their questions. Discover these methods to reach mastery.
GROUP COACHING
Expand your expertise by learning how to coach a group. Discover the additional skills needed to work with a group of clients as opposed to just one-to-one.
INQUIRE VS EXPLORE
Discover the distinction between Inquiring and Exploring to make a huge difference to your coaching questions. Masterful coaches do more exploration than inquiry. They get to the heart of the issue to make change permanent.
LEARNING & GROWTH
Masterful coaches uses four modalities to make learning and growth permanent. Beginning coaches usually use only one. Discover the the three additional modalities that will take your coaching to the next level.
MASTERING COACHING TOOLS
Learn how to use 360 feedback tools to coach your client and discover traps to avoid and how to address client’s concerns and resistance.
MASTERING PRESENCE
All coaches know that holding and maintaining presence is the key to listening actively. Not many are able to execute this knowledge.Learn what masterful coaches do to maintain presence and identify what to listen to.
ROLE MODELING
Listen to masterful coaches in action using a myriad of tools such as metaphors, silence, clarifiers and how they expertly display the eight ICF coaching competencies in different situations.
